Writings

Well seeing how nobody comes on here anyways, I’ve decided to randomly post things that I write here. If you feel like reading it please do, but I warn you I am NOT the best out there, Decent yes.

Mia.

I looked around me at the blood covered battlefield. You would think that this multitude of destruction would enrage me, or harm me, but to be truthful, it was my purpose for living. The sound of a person taking it’s last dying breath, or the scream that might emerge from a frightened child’s mouth made my heart leap with joy and a sort of warm excitement spread through my body.

“Who are you?” Came the unfamiliar voice of a man.

“You can answer that, can you not? Have you not heard of me before? Surprising, I could have sworn I was known in all areas in this region,” I said to the man walking in a circle around him. I could feel the fear that flowed off of his body like an icy river. He smelled of sweat and adrenaline.

The man cleared his throat before saying, “Yes I have heard of you, and I would like to challenge you to a duel.”

I laughed at the man. “And what if I were to refuse this duel, then what would you do?” I teasingly asked him as I gently brushed my hand against his shoulder. He shivered under my touch.

Suddenly my vision began to fade away and it was slowly replaced by a black darkness. “No!” I cried as I felt my body crumble beneath me. The man would surely kill me now.

If anyone actually reads this and finds it to be any good, Please let me know, and P.S. if you steal this I will hunt you down and hurt you.

  1. Your competency in writing should be clear by the fact that the only thought in my mind right now is “What the heck just happened!? I want to know more! More i tell you!”

    In other words: It’s great!

    • CAPITALIZE YOUR “i”!!!

  2. When I awoke, I was all alone in the middle of a death stricken field.
“Why did that bastard let me live? Doesn’t he know anything,” I growled as I began to stand up. I got halfway up before some invisible force pulled me back to the ground. Growling I looked to see what was holing me to the ground, only to find chains attached to thick metal bands on my legs and hips.
I began to fight the chains with all my might. My hands were also bound together so my attempts were futile.
“Wherever the hell you are you had better hurry up and kill me or do whatever with me! I’m not afraid to die so get it over with already,” I shrieked into the silence that surrounded me.
I heard laughter behind me so I spun to face the person who would laugh at someone who was bound to the ground beneath them.
“You’re a disgrace to humanity chaining a woman to the ground before you! Your a sick man!” I screamed at the man before me.
This just made the man laugh harder. It was a putrid sound that was full of hate.
I started to scream again and struggle against the chains. My anger spiked and flames began to emerge from deep within my throat and spew out my mouth. The feeling of my body expanding into it’s true form was painful, and I wish it wouldn’t have started to happen.
“You will pay,” I growled as I grew in size, my bones expanding into the strong-as-steel, hollow ones I was all to familiar with.
The mans laughter halted as he watched me grow. “Who are you exactly?” The man asked, his voice calm and without fear.
By this point I had fully transformed into my true self, with my midnight black wings that spread out beside me, each wing the length of my entire body. The scales that covered my body where also black, as were the spikes that stuck through my skin along my neck, back, and tail. The only part of my dragon body that wasn’t black where my ivory fangs and my glistening, sky blue eyes.
“If I were to tell you, you would have the advantage little human,” I growled. Dragons were to never tell a human who they were unless they wanted to be enslaved to that human.
This made the man laugh. “Your ignorance is amusing to me, young one. You have much to learn. Who exactly was or is your mentor?” The man asked.
Then it hit me. This man wasn’t a human as I had thought, he was a dragon, like me.

  3. “I will not tell you who I am, or who I was trained by. How can you even think i was trained. I could be an Elite One who has mastered or begun to master the way of a dragon on my own,” I snorted at my foe. The chains still bound me to the ground, so there was nothing I could do as far as stopping him.
This made the man-dragon laugh. “Alright then, but it would seem I have you at an advantage here young one, also if you were an Elite One, you would be able to break out of these chains with ease,” The man-dragon said in the most cocky and obnoxious tone I have ever heard.
“You’re pathetic,” I growled at the man-dragon, lowering my head to his level. “Why do you hide in that body? I could easily eat you right now, then deal with the chains how I please.”
The Man-dragon slowly began to shift into his true form. Any human knight would be terrified, yet thrilled by two dragons alone, and one at a disadvantage. As the man-dragon changed, I realized just how little of a threat he really was. He was a big and bulky dragon with short and thick wings. His body was a puckish-gold that reminded me of bad mustard. His talons were short and stubby so they probably couldn’t do much damage to my hide.
“And you think you’re a threat to me?” I questioned standing up as high as I could with my chest puffed out like a cocky human man.
The man-dragon growled at me and puffed himself up also. “I am the larger dragon here. You are also the dragon who is chained to the ground,” He growled in a low voice.
I snorted at him. “If you would actually unchain me I could shred you to little pieces and burn you to the ground!” I taunted hoping it would anger him enough into unchaining me.
The dragon growled and lunged at me. All I could do was scratch him like a little cat and spit some flames into his face.
“Unchain me you insult to anything that is a dragon!” I screamed to him. Suddenly my chains disappeared and the Male was attacking again. I quickly launched into the air as my body went into an adrenaline run fighting state. The dragon came into the air to follow me, but as I had expected I was much faster than he was. I slowed down to let him have a chance to snap at my tail before I headed straight into the air at an unbelievably fast pace.
“You have no idea who you are messing with,” I called at him as I let my black magic surround my body. Soon I was surrounded by a black cloud of magic that was only seen by the eyes of a dragon.
The male stopped in his tracks and looked at me.
“I am not an Elite One. I am the one they fear,” I growled at the puny male. “You should have never tried to mess with me. Never mess with another female in the way you did, or I shall hunt you down and strip you of your true self leaving you nothing more than a pathetic human.”
The Male just looked at me then bowed his head before returning to the ground. As he was looking around the ground I realized something. I could easily enslave him into my power. I concentrated on my dark magic and let it go to the man he began to howl with pain and he collapsed into a nasty golden heap. If his spirit was strong enough to hold off a small amount of my magic, then I would take him as my helper and begin to teach him the ways of darker magic. Normally though, the spirit of even a mighty dragon wasn’t enough to hold against my magic.
Slowly the mans color began to fade into a dull color and his howls began to quit.
“Please stop,” He begged as I landed on the ground next to him. I moved my black head down next to his and looked him in the eyes.
“Fight that small amount of my magic and live, if not you shall die. Living means learning to be a fighter of my magnitude. Wouldn’t you like that,” I said softly to him. Sometimes soft words where all it took.
The man snorted. “Then I shall die for I shall never be a monster like you,” He said in his last breath. His eyes closed slowly as he gave into my magic.
“May your soul be forever in eternal paradise. Your death shall be mourned,” I said to him softly blowing a dragons blessing over his dead corpse. His body began to disappear with my blessing until nothing was left of him.

  4. After the body of the man-dragon was completely gone, I returned to my human body that hid my true self. All dragons had the ability to change from the form of another creature into a dragon, but only a select few could turn into a human. Being able to change into a human made it easy for the dragon to learn human magic, the second strongest type of magic other than that of a dragon. Elves where also rather powerful, but they lost their ability to carry out the complex and elaborate spells when the humans killed off nearly all of their Spellcasters. Every different race had a different name for the few beings in their clan that had magic in their blood. Magic wasn’t something that you could find, like many humans thought. You are either born with it, or you are born without it. Dragons on the other hand are the one race where the minority is born without magic. If you were a dragon and had no magic, then you would be shunned by all other dragons and not allowed to mate. These dragons are not able to shift into other beings like the magic-yielding ones, so they begin to do things that humans think all dragons do like terrorize towns and stereotypical crap like that. Not all dragons hurt people or kidnap princesses.
Dragons are a noble race. They were the original inhabitants of our world, along with the elves and the dwarfs. For thousands of years there was peace (a thousand years is about the lifespan of 2 dragons, 5 elves, and about 7 dwarfs). Then the humans invaded our world. They came saying that a being called ‘god’ created them as a mirror image of him. None of us original races would separate from our land, so the humans began to attack us. For a long time the world was at war. Soon the elves, dwarfs, and dragons were nearly wiped out (humans take a lot less time to reproduce, sort of like rabbits, and they don’t even think before they reproduce). The humans brought in a new world and began to destroy the land around them. There are some humans who realize what their kind are doing and fight to stop it. These humans often live with dragons or elves, but not the dwarfs. I have not taken a human under my wing, I was against the humans and wanted the total destruction of them. I spent nearly a hundred years with humans, learning their magic and their way of life. They trained me as their own, until Breyn came along. Breyn was a man who saw that I was a dragon. All of the main human magic users, witches and wizards, locked him out of their palace. They were too ignorant to realize the truth in his words, and they continued to train me. It wasn’t until I showed my true form and attacked the palace that the witches and wizards realized that Breyn was saying the truth.
After training with humans I trained with elves and dwarfs. The elves were disgusted at the thought of training a human, but eventually they consented (I may have burnt down a few houses and eaten a few elves, which are not very tasty). The elves intentionally made my learning magic a living hell. They made me do tons of necessary work and things that I already knew and demonstrated perfectly. My ability to learn things extremely fast made them treat me like a being that has no concept of what intelligence is and had to be treated like a hatchling. Finally I learned their magic, and for
the test that I gave myself, I blindfolded myself and destroyed half of the elves that had trained me. Once I was done with the Elves, the dwarfs willingly took me in and taught me everything they knew. They recognized the fact that I had a real potential and that I was a dragon that could someday bring peace back to the world. I was trained at their underground palace, Shur’tigal, and was treated like royalty. They let me keep in my human body, but also allowed me to show my true self. It wasn’t a rare occasion for them to ask me to present them with a display of showering flames that tickled the sky and danced with the moon. The festivals of the dwarfs were also something to see. There was music that was upbeat and happy and all of the dwarfs crowded out of the tunnels and into the meadows and hills above their underground sanctuary. Masks were worn and the clothing was brightly colored and made the small beings look like flowers dancing in the night.
A sudden noise in the towering woods before me ripped me from my thoughts. I halted and cocked my head to listen and see if there was a second noise, and possibly identify the basics of whatever the noise was and how far away it was. After a moment of listening with no luck, I sent out a small pulse of magic to see for me. I felt the pulse come back to me from a creature that was about 20 feet to my left. It seemed to be about the same size as an elf.
“Is somebody there?” I asked in the voice of a scared young woman.
There was a slight chuckle and a tall man stepped through the trees. This man was definitely of the human species. He reeked like the sea and a pungent ale.
“What’sss a Purty lil thing like you doin out hereee this time a day?” He slurred approaching me.
“Traveling home good sir. My father was just killed and my family has no money left. I guess I got lost,” I replied looking down. Normally I didn’t spend time around the annoying humans, but sometimes I enjoyed doing a good thing, and I wasn’t sure if this man was a peaceful human or not because his drunken state was making it impossible to read his identity.
The man nodded then began to sway. He hit the ground with a thud and I looked at him.
“You’re disgusting,” I muttered walking away. Humans were a filth that was in this world.
After about an hour of walking I grew tired and let my body shift into it’s true form. The familiar sting shot through my body as I stretched out my back, wings, and legs before taking flight into the murky night sky. I flew across the sky for a few hours before I reached some hills that reminded me of the hills the dwarfs and elves tended to dwell in. After circling the mountain a few times I deemed it safe enough to rest at. Once I landed on the top of one of the flatter hills, I noticed a large tunnel, hidden behind trees and shrubs, but still there. I walked over to it and looked in it. The hole was about the size of a dragon, so I strolled in. Using my magic to create a light, I looked around. The inside of the hole was about the size of the dinning hall in a human palace, with thick stone walls and a soft and mossy ground. There were dried leaves scattered throughout the cave which could offer warmth and comfort. Off to the left of the opening there was another gap in the wall, and this gap led to a smaller area that would be perfect for a dragon that might have objects to hide.
“Well, I don’t have a cave yet, and this one seems perfect,” I muttered laying down and letting myself drift into a light, dreamless sleep.

  5. Hmmm… Shur’tigal = Shurtugal = Dragon Rider from the Inheritence Cycle.

Was this a conscious or unconscious reference? (i.e. did you mean to reference the books?)

On an unrelated note: Thanks for background lore. Keep up the good work!

    • Crap No I did not mean that and I shall change it immediately. No worries here

      • Eh, i wouldn’t worry too much about, this kind of thing happens a lot. For instance, just from reading through what I’ve written so far as was able to see that I stole about 70% from various books I’ve read and games I’ve played.

Also, Eragon itself was criticized for having almost exactly the same character relationships as star wars.

        Eragon = Luke
        Arya = Leia
        Murtagh = Han Solo
        Morzan = Darth Vader
        Galbatoriz = The Emperor
        Brom = Yoda
        …and so on.

      • *The previous comment is by me, who was possessed by the Grammar Nazi while he was using an experimental criticizing technique. The post reflects my opinions and most definitely NOT HIS. Thank you.*

  6. whoops now it’s corrupting us all AHHHHH and I see your point

  7. this is awfully short but here is some more!

When I awoke the next morning, I could hear the scuttling of feet across the mossy cave floor. Without even thinking I blasted a blue flame in the general direction of the noise and heard multiple screams.
“Who dares enter my home without permission?” I rumbled standing up so I wasn’t at such a defenseless position.
There was a few murmurs in a language I didn’t recognize, before one of them finally answered in the language of the humans.
“W-w-we a-are S-s-so-rry Your Highness, w-w-we wanted to speak with you is all,” One of the little beasts answered. I could feel them shaking out of their skins, and could tell that they were not human, elf, or dwarf, for they were all the size of a man yet they had puckish-yellow skin that wrinkled all over their little bodies and a smell that would have made any sane creature run in fear
    “What are you?” I asked.
A different little creature answered me this time. “We are Goblins, a creation that our Master made using magic and science,” It answered with it’s voice cracking more than a mules bray.
I snorted at the little creatures. “If your smell wasn’t so disturbingly pungent, I would eat you for breakfast,” I threatened them glaring in disgust.
A few of the little Goblins shook in fear, there was one that simply just looked at me calmly.

  8. I pointed at the little Goblin that wasn’t shaking and roared, “You stay, the rest of you must leave before I roast you like a chicken!”
Once all of the little Goblins had followed my orders, I looked at the brave, but possibly stupid one.
“Why do you remain calm when all your comrades seem so terrified?” I questioned it looking it in the eyes.
The little Goblin returned my look, his silver eyes not showing any signs of distress or fear. “Because I am like you. I rule over them all with them believing that I am one of them, even though no living Goblin has Silver eyes,” The creature finally responded to me.
I snorted at the Goblin. “Prove it,” I challenged.
I watched the little Goblin close it’s eyes and calmly begin to grow and shift into a petite, silver dragon. “Is this enough proof?” It asked once it had shifted.
“Yes it is. Now I must let you know that I do not take well to having other dragons tell me they will work for me. Now you have your chance now, you and all of your little Goblins will have the ability to turn back and never bother me again, or I shall let me ever-hungry magic into your tiny body in hopes that you survive another day to serve me.”
The Goblin nodded in response then put it’s head down. “I had a feeling you would say something similar, and I am stronger that I may seem. I am ready to serve you as my Master. Do as you must and know that I have done nearly the same to my Goblins and so they will be forced to serve you as well.”
The right corner of my mouth turned up ever so slightly as the Goblin-Dragon said this. Slowly, I let the invisible barriers that held my precious, black magic inside me down. I then directed my magic into the Goblin-Dragon. I could see it’s body tense up as my magic entered it’s body. The creature gasped and began to fall.
“Hold strong. You can do it. What will your minions think if their master falls to my magic? They would be ashamed of you and terrified of me,” I whispered. I doubted that the Goblin-Dragon was actually listening to what I was telling it, but just me talking could help it get through this pain.
I knew that the magic had taken it’s hold inside the Goblin-Dragon when I felt it’s magic swarm into my body. I groaned as the pain of foreign magic hit me, but closed my barriers so that my magic wouldn’t destroy the Goblin-Dragon.
“What is your name?” I asked my new slave.
“Ligral Shirtar, Lord of the Goblins at your service Master,” It replied.
“You may call me Master, but I shall not tell you my name at this point. As you know names are what control us. We are bound to loyalty by our names. Now change into your Goblin form, you shouldn’t let your minions know that you are a Dragon and under my control, only let them think that you have pledged them all to serve me and nothing more. Do you understand?” I instructed.
“Of course Master, and they shall all call you Master also. They call me Lord, or shall I have them call me something different?” Ligral asked me.
“Keep with Lord. It has less meaning than Master in my opinion, and it is not okay for them to know that you are a Dragon,” I replied laying down.
Ligral returned to his Goblin form and then bowed and exited my cave. He returned a moment later with the rest of the Goblins.
“Line up,” I ordered. They did as they instructed. “Now tell me your names, in order from left to right.”
“Risal Mino.” The shortest Goblin that smelled like rotting oranges.
“Kinana Lirikana.” Obviously female from her long hair, feminine voice, feminine body, and dress. Her hair was a oily looking gray color.
“Rika Lin.” Another, tall female with nasty red hair and a plump frame.
“Riso and Tiso Lin.” Said two at the same time. They were identical and both smelled like mushrooms of some sort. Their favorite food maybe.
“Kero Kent.” Said the last one he was the tallest of the Goblins, and also the most broad.
I had an irresistible itch to talk to Kero about his fighting skills, so I asked, “Kero, how well do you fight? What do you use as your main weapon? Do you like Fire?”
After a moment of thought, Kero replied, “Yes I like Fire, everyone says I am the best fighter in our tribe, and I fight mainly with a spiked hammer.”
“Can you use magic? If so I would advise you to use your magic to put fire on your spiked hammer,” I suggested cocking my head to the side.
Kero smiled at me. “Of course Master. I am decent at magic, not the best, Kinana is the best at magic, but I shall try never the less.”
“You are all dismissed. You are not allowed to leave your tribe without permission, but carry on like normal. If you have questions on quests or other such matters, come to me. I shall want Ligral to see me on a daily basis so that I may know what is going on in the tribe and if I need anything I shall summon you. I am going to mark you all now with my mark so that you will be forced to obey my will,” I said giving them my magical brand. Each dragon had their own brand, mine was the outline of a dragons eye with a crescent moon serving as the pupil and half of the inner part of the eye contained fire.

    • Yay, new chapter!

      Um… the goblins seem a little… apathetic, I guess?

[Conversation between two goblins]: So what do you think of the new Lord?
Eh, he looks kinda wierd with those eyes of his, but life isn’t much different since he took over.
[Lingal]: Alright everyone! I have pledged our loyalty to the great dragon we encountered today.
[Goblin 1]: *Yawn* Third leader change this week. I’m hungry, I think I’m going to go get some mushrooms.
[Goblin 2]: Alright grab me some while you’re out. Wait, only three changes? Wow, slow week.

Or at least that’s what it feels like to me.

      • Yes yes i know it kind of sucks I said I wasn’t the best writer ever. I Ride not Write (Well sort of I do both but my forte is poems not novels).
        ~Mia

      • I didn’t say it was bad, I was merely trying to give constructive criticism. Don’t ever think I am insulting your writing, I would never do something like that.

I guess what I was trying to say was the same things I tell Kyle. “Slow down a little bit, and think about how the dialogue sounds.”

You have an awesome story idea, I just want you to flesh it out a little more! <– This guy likes details!

      • For instance, throwing in tidbits like the unusual eye color. That was an awesome way of adding to the basic story!

      • Alrighty well I shall try harder to please everyone in the terms of my story. And yes I get what you mean by it was kind of like Bleck, but hey Eragon started strong went to Bleck then returned to be AMAZING (Not that I wanna steal Christopher P.’s style…if that is his style!)
        Well whatevas
        ~Empress Mia.

  9. “Now no matter what you wish to do, you will be stuck under my rule. You may leave now,” I said waving them off with a flick of my paw. Once they had all left I exited the cave. There was a little human town about 3 miles away, and my human body could run that with extreme ease, so I shifted into my human body and began to run towards the town. It took me about 20 minutes to run to the town, and I was rather winded from running as fast as I did.
“Stupid human body, wears out so easily,” I grumbled as I sauntered into the town. The town around me seemed teeming with life. People around me were garbed in the most elaborate clothes that were embroidered with elaborate patterns that different from things such as roses in a garden to different varieties of animals. There were gold and silver chains hanging from most of the womens necks and many of the men had them on their clothes or around their necks also. The houses in the town were tall, white buildings with dark, wooden, roofs. All of the houses were cramped together and seemed as if they were using each other for support.
This town could use an attitude adjustment, I thought as a group of women sneered at me from a meter or so away. Maybe I could impose a little bit of magic onto them or enslave them or something.
After a moment of hesitation, one of the women in the group walked up to me. “Hey don’t you know that freaks aren’t allowed here. This is Malificia, the grandest town ever. See our buildings and beautiful clothing? We are the best and there is nobody who can say otherwise. We even have enough wealth for ever person to have a slave,” The woman bragged.
I stopped and looked her in the eye. “What you are is a filthy bunch of pigs. What creature would enslave a member of their own race? And how can this town be so grand if there is not a single dragon or elf or dwarf around?” I questioned her in the most monotone voice I could muster. These people disgusted me and enraged me at the same time. It took much of my willpower to not flare my nostrils and shift into my true form then burn their pathetic town to ash.
The woman laughed at me. Her group of horrifying comrades approached me also. Each one of them smelled like human filth. Did these humans never carry out proper hygienic needs?
“And I can also say that no being in the world can be truly admired if they smell like their own filth. Can you not bathe of something?” I said putting a little bit of disgust into my voice.
One of the women reached out and grabbed the long, flowing black hair that danced around my human body’s waist. “What is wrong with your hair?” The woman growled. “Did you paint it to look like a black Mule?”
I spun to face the woman, grabbed her arm, and twisted it till I heard the bones inside it snap.
I just growled at the woman. Her and her friends glared at me in shock. I could tell that my black magic was starting to fill the air surrounding me. “Just leave,” I finally said to them. Like obedient puppies, they all turned and left like instructed them to.
After a few moments I heard a sort of hissing or spitting noise coming from behind me. I ignored it and continued on the path I was walking on, but before I could walk more than three steps, the noise came at me again accompanied by a man’s voice saying, “Hey you, come here.”
I turned to see where the source of the noise was coming from. Lurking in the shadows was a man. The man had hidden himself well by wearing a long, black cloak with his hood pulled over his head so that he blended in with the shadows being cast upon him by the two buildings he had placed himself between. Cautiously, I walked over there letting my magic keep any other magic away from me, and also let me sense to see if there was nay magic on the man in the shadows.
“Why are you calling to me?” I asked the man, stopping just before the shadows.
“I saw how you stood up to those ladies over there. That was pretty impressive you know. Even the man can’t stand up to those women. They think they rule the world, and that they should be adored in the same way that humans adore their lords and their god,” The man replied to me.
I cocked my head to the side. My energy was being blocked by some force. This man had to be the cause.
    After a moment, I asked,”What are you?”
“The same thing that you are, my dear. I’m a Dragon, one of the few with a human form, and I know who you are, or have heard of you at least. All the humans that talk about you say that you are something to fear, that you can kill by just looking at someone. Even the Elves are scared of you,” The man replied in awe. I looked him over in the dark light. He was taller than most humans and based on his height he could have been mistaken for an elf, but when you looked at his face, with it’s strong and high cheekbones, wide jaw, deeply tanned skin, and dusty brown hair, you could tell that he was more human than elf.
I laughed. “Well whoever your source is, they are not very reliable. I can’t kill with a single look, but then again, the elves are scared of me. It’s their fault for making my life a hell though. They wouldn’t let me be in my true form, even though the Elves and the dragons have been friends since the beginning of time. I guess they must be mad at us for not protecting them from the humans.”
The man looked at me curiously. “I know that giving names is a crime and gives away control over a Dragon, so I would like it if I can call you something else?” The man asked cautiously.
“I will let you choose that, but first, let’s terrorize this town a little. That is, if you are not to scared to do so.”
The man snorted. “I was just passing through here, but it was enough time to realize that this town might actually have some worth. As long as we are not burning it to the ground, or killing off all of the people.”
“Alright, have it your way,” I said holding my hand out. The man took my hand and shook it.
The man smiled and pulled the hood of his cloak down farther on his face so the only thing visible was the tip of his nose and his cocky smirk. After he had walked out of the alley, I also left. We didn’t have a plan, but I was fairly certain that I had gotten a strong enough pulse from his magic to be able to feel where he had gone. I began to walk into the square of the town. There was a giant, silvery marble statue in the center of the square, and I chose to stand there.
“People, look around you and tell me what you see. The women are pushing everyone around and enslaving other humans so that they don’t have to do any work. They think they are better than the world, when in fact they are not. Whoever the leader or ruler of this town may be must meet with me here at sundown, or the entire town shall pay,” I called into the air around me. My voice stayed calm and clear, but had a sort of powerful defiance that made me sound as if I could control the entire world by the words I spoke to this insignificant town.

  10. O.o Oh no they Di’int!!!! <– said in the most stereotypical voice possible.

    BURN THEM TO THE GROUND!!!!!!

  11. The people in the square laughed at me. They didn’t seem frightened by my power.
“Laugh and you shall pay,” I muttered as I let my magic surround me and let me teleport to the edges of the town. I walked around the wall of the town for a few moments before I spotted the man up on the thick, stone wall.
“I was beginning to think you would never find me,” The man called jumping off of the wall.
“I was never given an area in which I should look for you, so I had to guess,” I answered half truthfully. I was using the pulse of his magic to draw me towards where he was.
The man laughed. “I have decided to call you something now instead of later. I am going to call you Arisola, because you remind me of a girl I once knew.”
I tried to hide my shock at the man. Arisola was a name I was familiar with, and only one person was supposed to know it. The person that had been told that name was also thought to be deceased for the past hundred years.
“Sir, I have nothing I could think of to call you unless you were to show me the eyes you try so hard to hide behind your hood,” I said cautiously, wondering if he was the man I thought he was.
The man laughed then removed his hood. I was awe-struck by his eyes that were suck a light blue they nearly blended in with white of his eyes.
“Thank you and I think I shall call you Leo,”I said watching for any reaction from him that would make me think that he was, or was not the Leo I had once known. The man had no reaction to my name for him though.
“Why Leo. There are many other names in the world. You could call me Dill or Wren or anything else you wished, but you chose Leo?”
“Yes I do. You…. look like a Leo to me. Why are you being so defensive about this, Leo?” I asked him.
“No reason. I’m simply just questioning your naming prowess,” he replied casually as he slipped his hood back on and began to walk away from the town. I turned to follow him just before he started talking again. “So I heard your very impressive speech, and I think we should have you go back to the town and if they do not bring their leader forth then I fly in and you hop on my back and use your magic and I use fire so they don’t know you are a dragon and continue to trust you and hope that you will not destroy them with your mighty dragon.”
I thought his plan over for a moment. It seemed like it could work, though it could be just a little bit flawed. “I think we should try to keep them thinking that dragons are just big and scary and not very smart so that it keeps them even more wary of us. Why don’t you kidnap a woman, maybe a young slave girl. This would be helping a harmed person, but also keep them strong to their belief that dragons are unintelligent and steal maidens.”
Leo laughed. “So in other words, play idiot?” He questioned me jokingly.
“Yes,” I laughed, “play idiot.” Leo laughed along with me for a few moments then we just began to walk in silence. I had a feeling that he was the Leo I had know a long time ago. That Leo had been my best friend, and I had felt a sort of love towards him, but that was before he was told that he needed to train to be an Elite one. We had always talked about how horrible we thought the Elite Ones were for they never even helped the dragons anymore. Also, we both hated the pure magic that was supposed to be helpful and good, we preferred the powerful black magic that seemed to scare all the other dragons. Leo refused to train to be an Elite One, so everyone said he was killed. That was when I decided I would do everything in my power to keep from the Elite Ones. My name, Arisola, lost all meaning to me and I changed my name to something darker, more powerful, and left behind a trail of a thousand deaths.
Now I had Leo back, or at least it seemed as if I did. I didn’t want to talk to him about it just yet though. If I drew out our little ‘partnership deal’ for long enough, I could be sure that it was Leo, and I would also have enough time to realize if he was still the dragon he used to be.
“Hey why don’t we go for a little fly while we are wandering aimlessly through the world waiting for sunset?” Leo suggested dragging me out of my thoughts and back into my cruel reality.
“Of course. I warn you though, I am a rather fast flier,” I replied letting go of the bonds holding in my dragon and shifting into my true form. As soon as I had shifted I stretched my back out in the same way that a cat would.
“The only thing I hate about being a human is that it hurts my back,” I grumbled as I heard Leo shift next to me. I peered over at him to see a crystal blue dragon towering over me. He was broad in the chest and had long sturdy legs. His wings were the perfect thickness and length for a body as large as his, and his tail was long and slender, which would help him fly fast and easily.
“You’re much smaller than I thought you would be,” Leo said to me with a strange admiration in his voice.
“I think we are both surprised by each other’s size. I’m sure I fly faster though,” I said walking over to him and standing on my hind legs to look him in the eyes. Leo put his head up a little bit and looked me head on.
“Lets see then. I’ll race you to the mountains of this town,” He said.
“Go!” I called launching myself into the air. Launching oneself into the air with enough force to give you a good start in fast flying was difficult, especially when you could easily throw out your balance and plummet to the ground in a sort of painful roll. As beautiful as my launch was, my strength came non where near Leo’s, and I was suddenly a hundred feet behind him.
“So you may be stronger than I, but I am the better flyer,” I called to my companion as I gained speed and altitude. I was nearly in front of him when the mountains were almost at our noses. I let my body dip and brought my wings in to lessen the air resistance and allow myself to fly at a faster pace than I could by flapping my wings.
“You’re going to hit the mountains Arisola,” Leo called out at me. I could tell that he was slowing down, and making sure he didn’t hit the rocks, but he also began to fly down after me.
“You don’t know the first thing about me,” I cried out. I knew that I needed to stop my propelled free fall, but part of me wanted to crash into the mountains and die. Part of me was done living this so called life that was filled with death.
Right before I hit the mountains, Leo grabbed my tail and threw me to the side. He nearly hit the mountains after, but managed to only lightly crash into them.
“What were you thinking?” He almost yelled at me once he was on the ground next to the heap of black scales that was me.
“I want to die. I want to pay for all of the lives I have taken,” I whispered to him.
Leo looked at me in shock then lay down next to me. Looking me in the eyes he said “Arisola, you are the one who is to save us. Yes, you are killing many lives, but it is all needed so that we, as the greatest race to ever be on the face of this planet, may survive the wrath of the humans.”
I looked up into his eyes. There was truth hidden deep inside them. His words hit me, I knew they were true, but I didn’t want to be the one to save us all. “Well, then I better stop messing around and get on that,” I said lightly. I was trying to have a lighter mood and it seemed to work. Leo smiled at me as best as a dragon could.
“Well then, it is nearly sunset, so why don’t we head to the town of the stupid humans?” leo suggested.
    “I’ll lead the way.

Sorry It took me so long to get that posted. Not having my own laptop SUCKS!!!

  13. It took more time to return to the town, for we weren’t flying at top speed. About a half a mile away from the town, we stopped so I could shift into my human form.
“Do you remember what to do?” Leo asked me.
I nodded in response then began to run to the town as he launched himself into the air, taking cover behind the forming rain clouds. As I approached the town, I slowed to a walk. I entered the gates of the town and strode into the middle of the square. Looking up at the large, marble statue, I tried to find the best perch. The statue was of a human man slaying a mighty dragon, though the man was nearly the size of the dragon. Maybe he had slain a youngling. Silently smirking, I jumped up onto the man’s shoulders and stood up with my shoulders back and my head high.
“People, where is your leader or ruler. Step forth and face me now,” I called allowing the true power of my magic show through my voice alone. I saw several of the people shudder from the power of my voice and smiled slightly.
Before me, a tall, round woman stepped forth. She was dressed in a red satin gown that allowed her breasts to be viewed fully. Her posture was that of a queen, but her demeanor was more of a man’s.
“Woman, are you the leader of this town?” I called from my perch, looking straight into the woman’s eyes.
“Yes I am Elizabeth DiAnog. I was brought forth in the fear that you would attack my town. Who are you and why do you harm us so,” The woman sneered.
I held back a grin. “I shall not speak my name, for knowing one’s name means you are able to control who they are. You may know of me, but I would doubt it. This town seems to only be interested in the affairs within it, not the devastation that is coursing the land just beyond these walls. You may ask how I know this, but I shall not answer. You are not my Lord, My Lady, My Queen, My king, or any other sort of ruler to me. I rule myself,” I said to the woman before hoping off of my perch and landing just before her.
“Why are you here?” She asked trying to hold in a certain anger that was boiling to the brim of her soul.
I spread my arms out, but without letting my eyes waver from the stare they held on hers. “Why do you let your women rule here? It is, unnatural. Even women need to be restricted. Boundaries must always be set, but you seem incapable of controlling your women. Now I need you to give me a blood oath, or a sacrifice of some sort, before I unleash a great creature upon you all,” I said with an unwavering, powerful voice.
I watched Elizabeth shudder from my power.
“I shall not listen to a woman I have never met. You are not welcome here. Leave,” She said trying to mimic the power I had.
I laughed at her. It was cold and deadly. “So be it,” I yelled turning and jumping up to the very top of the statue.
“Come to me my pet,” I screamed into the sky. I heard Leo’s roaring response. He flew down into the town and landed on the ground. I leapt from the statue onto his back and laughed.
“Take the woman in the ash colored dress to your right. I’ll use magic and break their statue as soon as we leave,” I said to him in the tongue of the dragon as the town fled. The only people who remained was the woman in the ash colored dress and Elizabeth.
“Now your town shall pay,” I yelled realizing that the woman in ash was her daughter.
Leo grabbed her with one paw and launched himself into the air. I let my black magic shoot into the statue and watched it burst into a thousand shards.
“You know it is rather strange to have you riding me,” Leo commented as we flew away from the town.
“Is it now?” I questioned. I could only imagine how strange it would be.
“Yes it is. Oh by the way, what are we going to do with this young lady right here?” Leo asked me.
“We shall discuss that later. Head to the finish line while I put her to sleep. Fly steady,” I said sliding down Leo’s front leg to the Woman.
“Don’t worry, we shall not hurt you,” I whispered letting her become unconscious.
When we arrived at the mountains, I directed him to my cave.
Once he had landed outside the cave, I took the woman from him.
“She is definitely beautiful,” I commented as I held her.
Leo laughed. “I was thinking the same thing. I would have never guessed you were attracted to women though.”
“Well, not all people are the same, and I generally like males more than females, but there is something about her.”
Leo just laughed and walked into my cave.
“You may not tell anyone where this is,” I told him as I walked in.
“Sure,” He responded sitting down. “You should dress the place up a little. I can go steal a bed for this woman if you would like.”
“No, I can manifest one,” I responded laying the woman on the soft moss on the ground. I cleared my head then imagined a bed. It was large with a silk blanket and down filled pillows. The bed had a large, Iron frame. When I opened my eyes, it was laying before me. Carefully, I lifted the woman and set her on the bed, then released my spell and allowed her to awaken.
“Hello there. Sorry I had to make you sleep. We can’t risk anyone finding you until we want you found,” I said softly to the woman. I heard Leo snort behind me and resisted the urge to growl at him.
The woman looked up into my blue eyes, and I looked into her deep, golden eyes that reminded me of a happier time. She had no psychic blocks; I could completely read her soul. I looked into her soul, not wanting to pry, but unable to resist. There was pain and shame. She was afraid of disappointment, for her and for others.
“You, you will be safe here, don’t worry,” I said to her tilting my head to the side. She was suddenly throwing me out of her soul; I could no longer read her.
She looked down and appeared, disappointed. “I feared you would say that. I was honestly wishing that you would torture or kill me. I wouldn’t have mind. I want to die, there is nothing left for me to live for,” She sighed letting her shoulders slump.
I cringed. “I’m sorry to disappoint you, but maybe I can help you. I really am not a bad creature. I can give you something worth living for, and so shall my partner,” I offered.
She looked up at me with hope and trust filling her eyes. It would seem that she wanted to live, just did not know there was anything for her to live for.
“I would rather not get involved in this,” Leo called from across the cave as he walked towards us.
“Where is the dragon that brought me here?” The girl asked.
Leo laughed then said, “You are looking at the mighty dragon.”
She looked him over, and I looked her over. She was shorter than I was, only a few inches over 5 feet. Her hair was long, red, and filled with an insane amount of curls that looked so soft and gentle I wanted to reach out and touch them to see if they were real. Her body was shaped perfectly with her wide hips and large breasts. Her ashy dress came low so you could see part of her breasts. The dress nearly blended in with her pale skin that made her even more attractive.
“We are both dragons,” I said after a moment, completely interrupting Leo. “I’m faster and more dangerous though.”
The woman looked at me in a moment of shock. “How can you be more dangerous?
“Yes, I would also like to know that,” Leo added.
I looked at them both then sighed. “It’s hard to explain so I shall show you. We need to go outside though,” I finally said. They nodded, skeptically, but agreed to follow. Once outside I walked away from them, then let my body shift into its true form.
“This is how I look, this is who I really am,” I called letting my magic form a dark cloud around me. I could feel the familiar pain as it surrounded me in a thick cloud. I dashed into the air and flew up high. My magic grew and dark, grey clouds began to form above me. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. Every time I exhaled thunder sounded all around me. When I opened my eyes, my pupils had filled nearly my entire eyes, leaving only a small ring of blue, and a small ring of white. I roared and lightning flashed around me, not hitting the ground. I swooped down to the ground in the storm and landed. I stopped the magic controlling the storm and put it directly into sucking the life out of everything within 10 feet of me. I looked at the Woman and Leo who where about 100 yards away.
“Leo, help,” I instructed. He could do nothing but obey, for Leo was his true name. I watched him try and fight turning into a dragon and walk over here. “This will hurt, but I won’t kill you,” I said letting y magic into him. It bound him he was paralyzed, the only thing he could move was his eyes. I looked into his eyes and walked closer to him. I blew warm air onto his nose and he fell to the ground, still conscious. Leaping into the air, I lifted him with me using only my dark magic. He wanted to howl in pain I could feel it.
I looked down at the woman and saw the fear in her eyes. I released the spell on Leo and set him on the ground before her, allowing him to change back.
“He isn’t hurt, don’t worry dear. I was only showing you I should be feared. I can do far worse, I can kill by just looking into another creature’s eyes, but I don’t enjoy it. It is a curse, but I am the only one who is able to save the ancient races. You humans plague the land, stealing and murdering. None of the other races will stand up to the Humans, none except the dragons. Dragons are solitary creatures, they usually are only with another dragon when they want a mate. No Leo and I are not mates, he obeys me. Now dearest, I cannot keep thinking of you as that woman, so choose a name that is not your own for us to call you. Call him Leo, and call me Arisola.”
The woman looked at me for a moment then said “Amethyst. I have always loved that word.”
I returned to my human form and smiled at her. “Please do not fear us. We shall not hurt you,” I said to her.
She nodded, then headed into the cave.

  14. O.o….. Scary…. Awesome Dragon!

Still confused about how a curse will help her save everyone but I am sure that all will be made plain or time!

….Or it will just get more and more confusing…

    Keep up the good work!

  15. well it’s that she thinks of her ability to be such a dark creature is a curse I mean think back to the beginning when she was possesing that one dragon and killed him. Sometimes when she is trying to do good, she does bad. And don’t all good things come with a price? She has this amazing power and she is FORCED to use it to kill those around her.
Wouldn’t you feel like you were in a sort of curse if you were a dragon *cough cough* the only dragon with the power to KILL the entire human race and HAVE to kill them, even if you don’t want to?
    ~Empress Mia

    • No good deed goes unpunished, eh?

Yes I agree that such a powerful… power would have a rather large Sword of Damocles to go with it.

But is the destruction of the entire human race really necessary? I’m thinking about an Adam and Eve style reboot of the species here. After all, she already has a good candidate for Eve. Might have some problems with the genetics of it though…

      • Maybe and she probably wont kill off the entire human race all I am saying is she could. What will probably happen is…..Wait I shall not reveal you shall have to wait….and see…..

  18. well I am going to just go ahead and start with writing a chapter 2 because that is a nice little cliff hanger sooo..

    Chapter 2

When I awoke the next morning, Amethyst was curled up in a small ball in the center of the large bed.
“I guess this place could still use some decorating and what not,” I said to Leo as he sat up on the floor.
“Yes, I agree with you on that, but there is something I need to speak with you about first,” He said standing and looking down at me. Something inside me wanted to avoid the soul touching stare he gave me, but another part of me was drawn into it.
After a moment I walked over there and said, “What do you wish to talk about?”
Leo looked down for a moment before looking back into my eyes. His eyes held a mixture of pain, sorrow, fear, and anger. “How do you know my name? Why did you do what you did to me yesterday? THe only person who ever knew my true name was Arisola. How do you know my name?” He growled at me clearly wanting to yell at me but resisting due to the lovely Amethyst sleeping a mere 17 feet away.
I looked into his eyes before saying, “Your memory betrays you my friend. I was once Arisola. Did you not hear what happened to her? Your dear friend was ripped apart from her magic and given a magic that was nothing but pure darkness. Did you never question why she left you after she promised to always love you? She is gone now and I am here. I know your name and I know it upsets you, but I shall not ever tell you mine.”
Leo just looked at me. “You promised Arisola, and you shall always be her to me. Do you remember your life as Arisola?” He asked me gently stepping closer to me. I stepped and looked away.
“I remember nothing other than your eyes. They were always so honest and happy and warm,” I said looking up at him. He smiled.
“Well, I remember everything about our life as it used to be, and I know when you are ready, you shall remember. Until then, I am satisfied with being merely a friend of companion to you,” Leo said stepping forwards and kissing me softly on the cheek. Something in my body shot warmth through me. I stepped away and looked at him.
“I may never remember,” Was all I said before fleeing from the cave.

    Short, but whatever.

    • More Dragon Story!!! Yayz!

      <('.'<) (>’.’)>

  19. I kept running out of the cave and until I collapsed on the ground. There was something about that small display of affection that upset me. My head was spinning and I cried out in pain. I felt my body change into it’s true form and curl up into a little ball. I growled at myself. Why was I being so weak and so powerless? Why did Leo kiss my cheek? Part of me wanted to remember, desired to remember, but the darkness was always going to be there, keeping me from remembering anything about what my life had once been. Why was it that I could remember my life as a hatchling, but not as a young dragon, or a newly matured one? What had happened that kept me from knowing these things?
I lay there for a while and tried to remember. My head ached and every muscle in my body tightened. I wanted to scream and cry in pain, but there was something that wouldn’t let me. Part of me was shocked that I could show such weakness.
“This isn’t me. I was once this person. Now I am Anthervane, the darkest and most powerful monster of a savior that has ever been alive,” I growled to myself. It was careless of me to say my name out loud like that, but I needed to remind myself that no matter what happened in my past I must stay on this path before me and do only as I am supposed to. I was to kill and to hurt in order to restore balance.
“How do you restore balance when all you are is a monster? How are you supposed to be good when all you do is bad? Why am I me?” I asked the tree above me.
If the tree could talk I would imagine it would say something like, “You were chosen because you were the only one who could handle the power you posses. There are things you may never remember, but it will always be for the best. Remembering means becoming the dragon you used to be. Think of what the world would be if you were no longer there to help. Yes you do harm, but you are simply learning. You will be the one to bring this world back into the peace it should be in.”
“But why me, why not some other creature?” I asked the tree that could not really talk.
“Because you are the chosen one,” The tree responded.
I turned and looked behind me to see a small light shining. My head turned in curiosity as I looked at it. There was something about the light that made me start to move towards it, and move even faster when it darted through the tree. Without realizing it I was chasing this small, golden light through a maze of trees and rocks. As suddenly as it had appeared, the light was gone and I was in a small groove in the trees with nothing but a small, greyish colored pool of water.
I looked out at the water, mesmerized by its amazing stillness when a soft ripple radiated from the middle of the pool and the golden light was suddenly there, growing at an alarming rate only to change into a large, cat-like woman who wore a simple, white dress that didn’t even reach her knees. Her hair was golden and had the softest wave in it that made it glisten in this dark groove. She moved across the water as if she were walking down a carpeted hallway to her throne where she ruled over the world’s most beautiful creature’s.
“Anthervane,” She said to me in a voice that sounded so angelic it terrified me.
“How do you know my name?” I asked her calmly.
She laughed. It was high and had a slight ring like a small, silver bell that I child would play with. “I know the names of all. I am the Oracle.”
I looked at her in shock. The Oracle was the most powerful thing in any world. They ruled over the creatures who all pledge themselves to her. The only reason the humans were as unruly and destructive as they where was because they did not respect the Oracle or live off of the land, therefore she had no power over them.
I bowed down to the Oracle. “I should have recognized you great Oracle. How may I be of your service?”
She laughed for the second time as if we were old friends. “I should be the one asking you that question great dragon.”
I looked up at her then asked, “What do you mean?”
“You say you could do so much more harm than you do. You question yourself wishing to help but feeling as if you do not. All of the towns you burn, all of the lives you take make you wish you could destroy yourself, but you do not. You remain. I am doubting your knowledge of your true power. All you are is pure darkness, but there is a silver lining to all of this horror.”
“What do you mean a silver lining? Is there a way to not be so dark, to be able to help more than harm?”
She laughed. “That is for you to decide. Remember. If you do, you will know what I mean and you will be able to see for yourself. Remember your pledge when you were but a child? The Dragon’s Code?”
    “Yes, I do.”
“Say it for me, say it loud and clear.”
“There is a dark. There is a light. I promise this with all my might. I shall always defend. I shall always protect. There is nothing that can stand in my way when I fight. I am true power and Magic. Without me, there shall be no peace in this world.”
“You are forgetting a part,” The Oracle said in a menacing way. “You forgot the most important part.”
“I don’t remember it,” I said to her.
    “Yes you do,” She yelled.
“No I don’t. I do not remember. Some things are there like little fuzz’s in my head everything else is gone,” I said to her.
“Remember,” She yelled with the power of 6,000 voices and souls. Her magic began to swirl around her in a rainbow of death. I knew that if her magic reached me, I would perish.
I growled as her magic came at me. My magic was bubbling, wanting to tear apart her magic. Maybe I could. Something inside me snapped and snake-like tendrils of my magic flew out from me and created a sort of black cloud around me. The Oracles magic pressed against my barrier, but never entered it. The two forms of magic brushed each other and guided each other around me.
“When there is dark, there is pain. Pain is in the death of all those around it. When there is light, there is life. Nothing dies and the world is again in pain. For every dark there must be a light to make a shadow. Shadows are what keeps this world from tearing itself apart,” I roared at the Oracle. I remembered the rest of the oath.
“Fight me with all you can. Destroy me and I will show you who the Light is, the one to level you out and create nothing but shadows.”
“I will not destroy you,” I said to her. I felt my magic waver and a tendril of her magic leaked through mine.
“DO IT!” She screamed in an inhuman way. She charged at me with the full force of her magic. The colors and the light blinded me.
I roared at her and ducked under a bolt of her energy. I rolled, shifted into a human, then jumped up. My mind lost control to my magic as I shifted back into a dragon and roared. Black magic flew out of my mouth and nose like a thousand flames. My eyes turned completely black as the magic took over and I became a prisoner in my own body as it was lost to the control and the power of the magic.
“My name is Anthervane, Dragon of darkness. I will be the only one to ever destroy you,” My magic said.

    • …there are no words. Oh my god.

      There.
      Are.
      No.
